Peter Hook

Joy Division was a rock band (post-punk and wave-genres) from England. The band was found in 1977. The members were at last Ian Curtis (Vocals, Guitar), Bernard Sumner (Guitar, Keyboard), Peter Hook (Bass Guitar) and Stephen Morris (Drums). 1980 Ian Curtis had to leave the band beause god wanted him…

He didn’t give up.

New Order, the same band but not with Ian Curtis but with Gillian Gilbert. 2007 there was a big beef between Peter Hook and the other band members.

So Peter Hook found a new band ‘Peter Hook And The Light’. He is covering the old songs from Joy Division with his new band: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiG1cUVVLGg (Peter Hook And The Light feat. Rowetta - Atmosphere)

Wiz Khalifa & Kid Ink…

I think all of you know Wiz Khalifa. Normally I think ‘Dafuq? Oh, mainstream shit…’ but he has really nice tracks… besides the track that are played in the radio I found a really nice unreleased track:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7eJ-hQdAHg4

(Wiz Khalifa - You Gonna Love Me)

Wiz Khalifa has also a big project right now, the mixtape ‘Taylor Allerdice’. The link that I was going to post is removes so you have to google to find another download link. I’m sorry.

By browsing on youtube I found Kid Ink. His music is not bad but for me it sounds a little bit like Bruo Mars… and I don’t like Bruno Mars at all :) Mybe you’ll like it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWesI0husPY

More tracks at his facebook account.

Rap and stuff…

First of all The Beastie Boys have made a great track with Santigold… I’ve nothing else to say, just enjoy:

I think I’ve already posted this link, but it doesn’t matters. Now I’ve more information: ‘Linguistics’ is a Rapper with, how I think, a great talent.

My fave song is ‘Linguistics’): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPkASX1nKTs (Linguistics - Linguistics).

You can download his EP ‘Free Speech EP’ here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/s9l30r

More Dubstep and Drum ‘n’ Bass :)

1. I hope all of u know ‘Chase & Status’

I admit I just know them since Plan B’s single End Credits (feat. Chase & Status) but I don’t think that this prevents me to listen to their music. Because they’re makin’ really good music… So Her Some Links:

I. The latest single I know is ‘Time’ (feat. Delilah)… I like this song… typical D’n’B … I think :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWP9VvkeTmA&feature=channel_video_title

II. Chase & Status - Hitz (feat. Tinie Tempah - 16bit remix) and this is one or their ‘dubstepish’ songs… and a good rmx, too! :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ka4Rt2oVjBc

2. Hybrid Minds - I’m honest, actually I don’t know this band because I didn’t found them, they found me :) … on twitter…  So I decided to check out their music and I liked it… Here’s a link:

I. Hybrid Minds - Patience

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaOm4Ixoxhc

Last but not least the ‘Kottonmouth Kings’:

1. I found the band the ‘Kottonmouth Kings’ some weeks ago. I didn’t know them very well but after some time of listening in and inspect I found out that they often sing about dope, dope and dope… :) Dope isn’t really my specialty but their music turned me really on :) They’re sometimes reminding me on Blink-182, Linkin Park or such bands… I don’t know why, but I like their music. Here some links:

I. Kottonmouth Kings - Cruizin’

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5rk3dZ-ucM&feature=channel_video_title

II. Kottonmouth Kings - Life is beautiful

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV2E8dNVs6s&sns=fb

(their some more songs I would like to post but because this band makes often music about dope I will not post more links… I don’t want to be accused because of something… I hope u know what I mean)

I hope u enjoy all the songs I’ve posted :)

Musicians ‘nd more (Part I: Dubstep, ambient, electronica)

Hey, out there! I had holidays, so I couldn’t post new links or something, and I’m sorry for it. But now I’m back with new music… :)

So, for the first, I want to show you some music…

Dubstep, Ambient, Electronica

1. Burial…

Burial (born William Bevan) is an artist, who makes ambient music with influences of dupstep and house… His music is very soft and has warm sounds…

I would say it’s a kind of epic…

I like the music of Burial and want you to show something from his results:

I. Burial - Endorphin:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtEBEVC0HUc&feature=related

(one of his ambientish songs)

II. Bloc Party - Where is home? (Burial remix)

I’m living in germany and the GEMA (a performance rights organization here in germany) prevents me to watch some videos… I just could watch this video on a german webside so I don’t know, if you out there can watch this video of which i post the link:

http://www.myvideo.de/watch/6547385/Bloc_Party_Where_is_Home_Burial_Remix

when your’e not able to watch this video, I’ve an other solution… Someone has made a mix of some dubstep-songs and this mix includes ‘Where is home?’

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goTUwtCV7IE

(the part from 7:21 till 7:35 - one of his dubstep remixes)

‘njoy!

2. The next musician I would like to present is Synkro… I think I’ve posted some links of Synkro’s songs but I like his music so much that I would like to show some more of Synkro’s fantastic results :)

Synkro is also a musician who makes ambient music, dubstep and so on… His music calms and is also a kind of epic…

Here some links:

I. Synkro & Indigo - Reflection

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DT5VhAFPCZM&feature=related

II. Synkro - Progression

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bmvxal3YA3g
